
Been doing Lent for about three days now. I decided to give up sweet desserts and such. If anyone knows me, this is a HUGE challenge. I usually eat tons of sweet foods everyday. I have a major sweet tooth.
There are some exceptions to the rules such as soda and sweet breakfast foods. I have these exceptions because I get really sweet if I don’t have so much sugar on a regular basis. I get cranky, tired, and sick to my stomach.
My boyfriend decided to give up music since that’s his thing. I probably would have already caved if it weren’t for him doing it with me. We’re in competition and we’re both Aries. Competitive as heeeeellll.
againstmarj: We had to do a menu project at school where we came up with our own imaginary themed establishment and a dessert menu to go along with it, and actually invent and bake two dishes. I decided to do a bakery/café that doubled as an arcade!
The first dessert is Super Mario Bros.-inspired and called “The 1UP” - it’s a green velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and cranberry-honey sauce. The second one is called “Banana Bonanza!” and based off of Donkey Kong - there’s a chocolate puff pastry ‘barrel’ with banana-nut cream filling, toasted almond ice cream, and chocolate and pomegranate sauces.
