Chinese New Year
DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT HOSTING A MEETUP. I DON’T CARE FOR ANY TYPE OF HOSTING/RESPONSIBILITY RIGHT NOW. I’M JUST THROWING OUT IDEAS.
So the annual Chinese New Year festival is being held on the 17th of February in Chinatown. The celebration lasts from 10AM until about 5PM. It’s basically a whole bunch of vendors selling Asian food and little trinkets along with a stage where they have a lineup of entertainment.
I figured this would be a nice place to host a meetup because:
- A big crowd of people won’t be a problem because it’s a festival
- People often dress up during Chinese new year as I see many lolita and traditional clothing plus wigs so I don’t think light cosplay would be a problem.
- There are plenty of food places nearby
- It’s cheap. 3 dollars to get in for Adult, 1 dollar for children 12 and under, and free for children five and under.
So there you have it. My contribution to the gathers and ideas. I’m definitely going regardless of a meetup being held or not so I might stop by if you guys decide to do this.
